Water Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:We are urgently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Water Engineer to join our site team for a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full execution, supervision, and quality control of all water supply, sanitation, and fire-fighting installations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Including But Not Limited to):Borehole & Pumping: Supervise the drilling, casing, and yield testing of a 70m deep borehole; oversee the installation and commissioning of submersible pumps and starter panels.Elevated Storage: Manage the fabrication and erection of a 15m high steel tank stand and the installation of a 30m³ sectional steel tank.Reticulation: Supervise the laying and testing of UPVC water supply networks (including fire lines) and sewer drainage systems.Fire Systems: Oversee the installation and commissioning of fire hydrants, hose reels, and associated valve chambers.Quality Control: Ensure all works comply with Zambian Standards (ZWS), project specifications, and approved drawings.Management: Direct and mentor site foremen and plumbing crew; review shop drawings and material approvals.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:Mandatory:Must be a registered member of the Engineers Institution of Zambia (EIZ) with a valid practicing license.Degree/Diploma in Civil/Water Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 5 years post-graduation experience in water supply and sanitation works preferably at a Construction Site.Proven experience in supervising borehole drilling and elevated tank stand construction.Strong knowledge of fire fighting water reticulation systems.Experience working on remote sites in Zambia is a strong advantage.WHAT WE OFFER:Competitive monthly salary commensurate with experience.Site accommodation and meals.HOW TO APPLY:Interested candidates who meet the above criteria should send their CV, Copies of Qualifications, and Valid EIZ Practicing License to:Email: jobs.projectsplus@gmail.comSubject Line: Application for Water Engineering Position Applications that do not include proof of EIZ registration will not be considered.
