Job Description

Reports to Business Development Manager Job Purpose:To manage the Commercial Fuel and Lubricants business to achieve Afroil’s business objectives through direct interface with key  customers in order to deliver sustainable business development. Grow and maximise Afroil’s profitability and optimization of business processes. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop commercial business portfolio, including all major sectors: Mining, Manufacturing, Transport, Agriculture, etcDrive sales performance through implementation of sales and marketing initiatives to achieve financial targetsMonitor key accounts performance trends and determine appropriate actions to address any issues to optimize the business Deliver best-in-class customer serviceCompliance to credit policyAct as a professional advisor and assume a leading  role between Afroil and its key customersEnsure that Company’s corporate image is maintained Provide the Company with marketing/sales intelligence Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholdersInitiate and drive Commercial Projects through sound Project Management practiceSpecific Outcomes:Deliver a strong commercial (fuel and lubricants) business, specific on long-term customersSales and Profitability of Commercial businessesField and Market  Intelligence Credit Management Customer ServiceAsset ManagementHSEQ KnowledgeStrong Understanding Oil industry in ZambiaUnderstanding Economic trends.Knowledge of applicable corporate governance issues.Understanding of basic business finance.Understanding indutry regulations related to Commercial businessSkillRelationship management - Building and maintaining good customer relationships.Managing risk (financial risk-managing HSE compliance)Communication skills.Computer literacyBudgetingNegotiating ability.PresentationsGood interpersonal skillsPlanning and organizing.Decision makingAnalytical thinking and Problem solvingAttributesTeam Player.Integrity (consistency)Self-motivated and self-starter.Persuasive Qualification and ExperienceDegree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or equivalent At least 5 years’ experience in a commercial business. Experience in Oil industry and project management is a must.
