Job Description

Role PurposeThe Orders & Payments Officer will be responsible for managing and executing customer orders received via the partner platform at the JCS location. The role ensures timely order placement, accuracy of customer preferences, proper coordination with restaurant partners and riders, and daily financial reconciliation to support smooth operations and accurate weekly settlements.About Four Oaks Financial ServicesFour Oaks is a Zambian-registered financial services provider founded to bridge the systemic gap between income and payday. Order Management & ProcessingReceive order notifications via designated communication channel and accurately place orders with partner restaurants without delays.Pay for orders at the point of sale (POS) using the authorized company digital wallet, ensuring all receipts are collected and filed.Verify that the restaurant has all items in stock before confirming the order to the driver/customer.2. Quality Control & Attention to DetailEnsure all required utensils, packaging, and add-ons are included before dispatch. Physically inspect orders before they are sealed to ensure they match the customer’s request (including modifiers, sides, and beverages).Ensure the restaurant uses spill-proof packaging and that the food is stored in the designated thermal area until the driver arrives.3. Coordination with RidersIdentify the assigned driver upon arrival and facilitate an immediate handover of the correct order.Actively communicate with the kitchen staff to expedite orders that are nearing their SLA time limit. Act as the first point of contact for drivers regarding order delays or restaurant related issues.4. Payments Handling (Mobile Money)Make payments to restaurants using the allocated mobile money wallet. Ensure payments are accurate and correspond to each order placed. Safeguard funds and report any discrepancies immediately. 5. Daily Reconciliation & Record KeepingSubmit a daily report of total orders placed, total spend, and any discrepancies between payments and receipts.Monitor and record "Ready-to-Pickup" times to help the operations team evaluate restaurant performance.Reconcile daily: Opening float vs closing balance Orders processed vs payments made Manual records vs partner system records Flag and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Support preparation for weekly reconciliation and claims settlement processes. Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum Grade 12 Certificate (Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Hospitality or related field is an added advantage) Experience in operations, retail, hospitality, or logistics is preferred Experience handling mobile money transactions is an advantage Skills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and record-keeping skills Basic numeracy and reconciliation ability Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and coordination skills Integrity and accountability in handling funds Working ConditionsBased full-time at restaurant location May require working weekends or extended hours depending on order volumes High interaction with restaurant staff, riders, and supervisors How to ApplyInterested candidates who resonate with our values of integrity, hard work, and service should submit their CV and cover letter to admin@fouroakszm.comFour Oaks Financial Services is an equal opportunity employer committed to transforming borrowers into financially independent leaders.
