Job Title: IT ManagerLocation: Zambia Department: Information Technology Reports To: Senior ManagementJob SummaryThe IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology infrastructure, ensuring efficient operations, and supporting business objectives through strategic IT solutions. The role requires the ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment while leading the implementation and maintenance of software systems.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systemsLead the planning, implementation, and integration of new software solutions across departmentsEnsure system security, data protection, and backup procedures are in place and functioningProvide technical support and troubleshoot hardware and software issuesMonitor system performance and ensure optimal uptime and reliabilityDevelop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practicesCoordinate with vendors and service providers for IT-related servicesManage IT budgets, procurement, and resource allocationTrain and support staff on new systems and technologiesStay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvementsRequired Skills & CompetenciesStrong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple prioritiesProven experience in software implementation and system integrationExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong leadership and team management abilitiesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of network security, databases, and IT systemsProject management skills are an added advantageQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum of 3–5 years’ experience in IT management or a similar roleExperience with enterprise software systems and IT infrastructure managementRelevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Cisco, Microsoft) are an advantageWork EnvironmentFast-paced and dynamic work environmentRequires flexibility and the ability to respond to urgent IT issuesMay require occasional after-hours support
