Follow MULTIPLE POSITIONS – ACCOUNTING MANAGER, MAINTENANCE MANAGER & ACCOUNTANT PAYABLES Kamimbi Aqua Feed Limited invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Accounting Manager, Maintenance Manager and Accountant-Payables. These roles are based at the Kamimbi Aqua Feed Siavonga factory, Accounting Manager with occasional operations in the Lusaka Office. Oversee and manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, regulatory filings, and financial reporting obligations. Provide timely and accurate financial reports and insights to management for decision-making. Manage supplier payments for raw materials used in fish feed production (e.g., soya, maize, additives). Oversee customer invoicing and collections for finished fish feed products. Monitor and control credit terms, outstanding receivables, and supplier obligations. Ensure effective working capital management. Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations. Oversee online banking transactions, payments, and reconciliations. Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and advise management on funding requirements. Work closely with operations to ensure accurate inventory valuation of raw materials and finished goods. Monitor and control production costs and variances. Ensure proper accounting for stock movements and consumption within the plant. Oversee the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing. Ensure compliance with statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, NHIMA, NAPSA). Provide financial guidance and strategic input to management. Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies. Support internal and external audits. Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and financial governance standards. Strengthen financial controls to prevent errors, fraud, and inefficiencies. Lead, supervise, and develop the accounting team. Ensure clear delegation of duties and high performance within the department. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE). Bachelor’s degree plus a full professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA etc.). Minimum 8+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). Strong experience in accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow management. Proficiency in IFRIS or similar ERP systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and online banking platforms. Accurate and precise attention to detail. Must uphold the company and professional code of ethics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability Results must be certified by ZAQA. ____________________________________________________________ Lead and manage all plant maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and utility systems. Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and efficiency of all production equipment and assets. Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Oversee breakdown maintenance and ensure minimal production downtime through rapid response systems. Plan and schedule maintenance activities in alignment with production requirements. Supervise, mentor, and develop the maintenance team to achieve high performance and technical competence. Manage maintenance budgets, cost controls, and ensure efficient utilization of resources. Oversee spare parts management, inventory control, and procurement planning. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and regulations. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on equipment failures and implement corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean maintenance and reliability engineering practices. Oversee installation, commissioning, and upgrading of plant machinery and equipment. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities, reports, and equipment history records. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, mean time between failures (MTBF), and maintenance costs. Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to support operational efficiency. Manage and supervise contractors, service providers, and third-party technicians. Ensure compliance with statutory inspections, certifications, and regulatory requirements. Implement and maintain computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Lead emergency response and risk mitigation for plant-related incidents. Support audits (internal and external) and implement audit recommendations. Drive energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives across plant operations. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE) Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum 8+ years’ experiencein a manufacturing environment (feed mill experience is an added advantage). Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and factory operations. Strong knowledge of plant equipment, automation systems, and utilities. Experience with maintenance planning systems and reporting tools. Strong leadership and team management skills High level of accountability and attention to detail Problem-solving and decision-making ability Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Results must be certified by ZAQA. ____________________________________________________________ Ensure that payables accounts are reconciled weekly. Review and verify supplier invoices Track payments and investigate outstanding payments. Ensure the work is executed in accordance with accounting principles, policies and processes regulated by IAS/IFRS (Accounting standards). Ensure supplier payments are processed within agreed terms. Ensure payment vouchers are signed and authorized by supervisor and authorized signatories. Ensure month-end close journals/postings are correct and on time. These include prepayments, revaluations and currency fluctuations. Ensure all proof of payments are sent to beneficiaries. Resolve problems concerning all payables accounts. Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of ad hoc reports. Ensure proper accounting records are kept for all payments and invoices. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of the Net Working Capital report for on-ward circulation to Senior Management is done. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: Full Grade Twelve School Certificate (GCE) Bachelor’s degree plus final/studying ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA, or a full professional qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA. Minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience. Familiarity with Zambian tax regulations, IFRS, and feed production cost structures. Excellent knowledge of accounting packages Member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information. Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills. Team player and work in a multicultural team. Ability to meet tight deadlines.
