Here in Zambia, CBMI successfully constructed Lafarge chilanga cement plant, Sinoma cement plant and Cleanlime limestone plant. We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to support our projects team. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in Industrial projects, Solar projects, Warehousing projects, particularly for Civil works, Mechanical works and electrical works. Job Duties and Responsibilities Preparation of accurate cost estimates for the construction projects based on standard methods of measurements. Preparation and evaluation of tender documents. Ensure that all submissions are compliant with project specifications and deadlines. Support the management of contracts and agreements. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and cost-control measures. Conduct on-site measurements and inspections. Gather data to ensure that project work aligns with specifications and quality standards. Complete any other tasks that may be requested by the project manager in line with the professional obligations of the Quantity Surveyor. Minimum of 10 years hands on experience working in construction projects. Should have a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity surveying, Construction management or any other related field. Must be proficient in quantity surveying software and Microsoft office. Must be a member of the Zambia Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Must have strong analytical skills. Must be self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills as they will work in a team and with clients. Must be able to work under minimum supervision.
