The key purpose of this role is to maintain equipment in a new condition, assuring reliable performance to standard thorough inspections, corrective actions to restore equipment back to inherent condition, problem solving to address root cause of failures and loop closure and provide input into the Zero-Based maintenance Budget. Coach operators in the correct way to operate equipment and perform autonomous operations. Key Outputs and Responsibilities: Operational Support Provide support to the shift-based teams during operations. Attends packaging daily meetings and ensures that the previous day’s actions have been actioned. Assist shift-based teams with situational problem solving. Coach the shift-based teams on machine operation, machine fault finding and correct responses to machine failure modes. Carry out work during the planned maintenance window in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule issued by the planner. Where scheduled work cannot be completed, feed back to the maintenance planner for direction. This may involve rescheduling the work or prioritising outstanding work. Assist fellow team members in the execution of their tasks during planned maintenance windows. Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation and/or systems Partake in cleaning, lubrication and inspection in accordance with the maintenance schedule issued by the maintenance planner. Carry out routine maintenance activities in accordance with the maintenance schedule. Where problems have been uncovered during routine maintenance, these must be resolved using the appropriate problem-solving techniques. Maintain and repair plant and associated devices Communicate effectively in teams Contribute to self and team development Generate tags for follow on work Carry out running repairs on plant and equipment. When carrying out repairs, assess the problem and determine a course of action. Where running repairs cannot be carried out, communicates this to the team leader and maintenance planner to ensure the work is planned into the next planned maintenance window. Apply the correct problem-solving methodologies to resolve problems. Assist and coach operators on situational problem solving. Comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation Maintain safety and housekeeping standards Identification of unsafe practices through Standard Inspection Operations Safe maintenance practices audited Maintenance tools are in good working order Key Attributes and Competencies: Portray good knowledge of Utilities processes and Technologies Demonstrate high energy, balanced personality self-discipline and drive, conceptualizing and innovative thinking, goal oriented and a strong output bias Have a proactive mindset & ability to communicate (verbal and written) Apply problem solving and decision-making techniques and principles Complete 5 WHY’s (As per triggers) with relevant team members Contribute towards Anheuser-Busch reports as required Use the Artisan workstation tools to improve performance of machines Good knowledge of production processes and technologies Familiarity with maintenance systems e.g. COSWIN Influencing ability with regards to sound maintenance practices Advanced Certificate in Mechanical Technology/Mechanical Fitting At least 2-3 years hands on experience in Utilities/Packaging Additional information: Band: X AB InBev is an equal opportunity employer, and all appointments will be made in-line with AB InBev employment equity plan and talent requirements.
