You hold the keys to your success!Zambia Employment Opportunities Chilanga Cement, Ndola Plant, is looking to recruit dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individuals to take up the role of; 1. INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICIAN (x3) Maintain and install hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic instruments/ equipment on plant machinery. Carryout renovations and improvements aiming at improving equipment reliability and maintenance performance in collaboration with other technicians. Ensures that the maintenance practices comply with QA standards. Installs equipment and carries out trial time to ensure work is done according to specifications and safety standards. Undertakes modifications to equipment, under technical guidance from superior. Calibrates workshop instruments and Plant instruments e.g. weigh meters, transmitters, pressure gauges etc. Obtains work instructions which are either verbal, written and/or in form of sketches, drawings, physically checks the defective machinery to ascertain the cause. Isolates and checks plant by carrying out intensive tests using various instruments to detect extent of damage or faults and carries out appropriate repair work. Undertakes trial runs on repaired plant/equipment to ensure it is in good working order prior to handing over to supervisor for final assessment or approval. Carries out routine physical inspection of plant and equipment in the areas of responsibility for defects and undertakes appropriate repair work. Manning the main sections which are the units of the factory. Undertakes repair works on all plant machinery. Carry out conditions and planned maintenance on daily, weekly and annual basis. Undertake projects in both minor and major installations. Carry out trouble shooting on all instruments during emergencies. Undertakes modifications to equipment under technical guidance from superior. Performs any other tasks assigned by superiors. Education background & Experience Craft/ advanced Technicians’ certificate in Instrumentation Engineering (with electrical, electronics, telecommunications as main subjects). Ability to investigate and eagerness to learn Ability to motivate proper team work Ability to keep abreast of the developments in technology
