Follow Position: HR Manager – Employee Relations Focus Salary: ZMW 30,000 – 40,000 per month The work schedule is 5.5 days per week. Employee Relations & Case Management ●Lead all employee relations initiatives, including disciplinary actions, workplace disputes, grievances, and conflict resolution. ●Prepare and issue warning letters, disciplinary documents, and performance improvement plans in compliance with company policies and Zambian labor laws. ●Represent the company in labor office matters and coordinate with relevant authorities when employee cases escalate. ●Maintain impartiality while managing sensitive employee issues, ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies. ●Oversee recruitment processes, from job posting, candidate sourcing, interviewing, to onboarding. ●Develop and maintain job descriptions, competency frameworks, and workforce planning strategies. ●Partner with line managers to identify talent gaps and implement retention strategies. ●Support payroll and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies. ●Review and recommend improvements to compensation structures and HR programs to attract and retain top talent. Compliance & Policy Implementation ●Ensure all HR practices comply with Zambian labor laws and internal policies. ●Conduct training for managers and employees on HR policies, labor law compliance, and disciplinary processes. ●Monitor and improve HR processes to minimize risks and improve employee engagement. Reporting & Continuous Improvement ●Maintain accurate employee records, case documentation, and HR reports. ●Analyze HR trends and employee relations data to recommend preventive measures to senior management. ●Proactively identify HR risks and provide professional recommendations. Required Experience & Qualifications: ●Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field. ●Minimum 5+ years in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, primarily focused on employee relations. ●Proven experience in large-scale manufacturing operations (500+ employees), preferably in companies like Trade Kings or Big Trade. ●Solid understanding of Zambian labor laws, HR policies, disciplinary procedures, and dispute resolution processes. ●Strong leadership, communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills. ●Hands-on experience in recruitment, payroll, and benefits administration. ●Experience implementing HR initiatives in high-volume manufacturing environments. ●Ability to handle complex employee relations cases while balancing operational needs and compliance requirements.
