Follow KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personal files, contracts, leave records and other HR documentation. Assist with recruitment and selection of drivers, operations staff, workshop employees and other company personnel, including advertising, shortlisting, interviews and reference checks. Coordinate employee onboarding, induction and orientation, including collection and verification of required employee documents. Monitor employee attendance, absenteeism, lateness and leave, and prepare attendance reports for management. Assist in processing monthly payroll information, including attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions, leave and other employee-related payroll inputs. Assist with employee performance management, probation reviews, appraisals and preparation of relevant HR documentation. Support the HR Manager in handling employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievances and workplace complaints in accordance with company procedures. Maintain records of employee movements, transfers, promotions, confirmations, resignations, terminations and contract renewals. Assist in communicating HR policies, procedures, notices and other important information to employees. Support employee welfare activities and promote positive working relationships between employees, supervisors and management. Prepare routine HR reports and provide accurate HR information to management as required. Ensure confidential handling of employee information and maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems. Assist with ensuring employees comply with company rules, procedures, health and safety requirements and other workplace standards. Perform any other HR and administrative duties assigned by the HR Manager or Management. Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or related field. Membership with ZHRIM is an added advantage. Previous experience in HR administration, preferably in a logistics, transport, construction or operations environment. Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee matters professionally. Good organisational and record-keeping skills. Good understanding of Zambian Labour Laws.
