SALARY: A competitive package will be offered to successful candidates on a ten (10) month contract basis. POSITION 12: HIV PREVENTION AND COMMUNITY PROGRAM OFFICER — 1 (ONE) POSITION Job Title HIV Prevention and Community Program Officer Station Ikelenge District Health Office Reports To Public Health Officer To coordinate the implementation of HIV prevention and community-based health programs in order to reduce new infections and strengthen community health outcomes. Coordinates the implementation of HIV Testing Services among target populations in order to facilitate timely linkage to treatment. Coordinates HIV prevention interventions (including PrEP, PEP, condom distribution, male circumcision, and behaviour change communication) in order to reduce new infections. Strengthens community mobilization and participation in HIV programs in order to improve service uptake and sustainability. Coordinates community-based support for HIV-positive clients to improve adherence and long-term retention in care. Undertakes monitoring and evaluation of HIV prevention and community programs in order to inform decision-making. Coordinates training and mentorship of community volunteers, peer educators, and facility staff in order to impart knowledge and skills. Knowledge and Skills Requirements Full Grade 12 Certificate or Form V or equivalent. Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Community Development, or equivalent. At least three (3) years of relevant experience in HIV prevention or community health programs. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports. Ability to communicate effectively in English and local languages. Initiative and community mobilization skills.Employment market analysis
