Follow JOB TITLE: GENERAL MANAGER – RESTAURANTS Astro Holdings Limited is one of Zambia’s largest and oldest private companies. We’re seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee our Restaurants division. Oversee daily restaurant operations, drive profitability, and ensure exceptional customer service across all outlets. The ideal candidate will lead by example, foster teamwork, and continuously innovate to enhance guest experiences. Lead and manage restaurant staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Develop and implement operational policies to ensure efficiency and compliance. Oversee inventory management, cost control, and supplier/vendor relationships. Monitor customer feedback and address concerns promptly to maintain high service standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and improve menu offerings. Analyze financial and operational reports to drive profitability and informed decision-making. Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and quality standards across all locations. Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field. 3–5 years’ proven experience in restaurant management or a similar senior leadership role. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Solid understanding of food and beverage operations, cost control, and inventory management. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Dodo, SAP, or similar restaurant/inventory management systems). Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and drive business performance. Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving skills. Food Safety Certification is an added advantage.
