Follow JOB OPPORTUNITY (RE-ADVERTISEMENT) To plan and implement the financial management and accounting functions of Kanyama Water Trust in line with applicable standards, laws, regulations and policies to enable Kanyama Water Trust achieve its objectives. Prepares annual draft budget that reflects Kanyama Water Trust’s direction and objectives. Monitoring and controlling expenditure to ensure that funds are spent according to the budget. Prepares monthly/quarterly management accounts and submits to the Trust Manager by 15th after end of the month/quarter. Deposits all revenue collections daily, appropriately file cash collections declaration sheets, and deposit slips for accountability. Process payments and appropriately file fully signed payment vouchers for accountability. Prepares and files bank reconciliations to maintain accurate and complete cashbook records. In liaison with Human Resources verifies and validates all payroll input data including new employee engagements, separations and changes in emoluments and deductions. Prepares and processes the monthly payroll. Prepares monthly payroll statutory and other recoveries schedules for payment to respective payees including ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA, Workers Compensation etc. Ensures instituted internal controls are effected and continuously strengthened. Performs any other duties as delegated by the Superior. 4. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS G12 School Certificate with minimum credit in English and Mathematics. Minimum, Bachelor in Business Accounting or Equivalent Professional Accounting qualification such as ZICA, CAZ, ACCA, CIMA. Paid up member with ZICA or relevant Accounting Body. ZAQA certified/verified academic qualifications. 3 years’ experience in Finance role will be an added advantage. Experience in a Water Supply and Sanitation or Utility company will be an added advantage. Good working knowledge of computer, mainly Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint etc.), knowledge of business accounting packages such as SAGE; adequate analytical skills and exemplary work ethics. Possesses business management skills and communicates effectively. Ability to forecast financial needs. Sober mind and pays attention to detail. Honest, tolerant, uses initiative and ability to work under pressure. Job demands high mental application such as Interpretation and Application; Budgeting, Planning and reporting; Risk Management and Analysis.
