Follow Contract Type: Permanent contract BIA Group is active in the sales, rentals and after-sales services of equipment intended for public works, mines, quarries and transport. The Group operates in Europe, Africa and Asia and has more than 1000 enthusiastic employees. To be based at the BIA Headoffice in Kitwe, Zambia. The Expediting Officer ensures the End-to-End management of an order, from the moment of its creation to the moment of its receipt in the local stock, including customs clearance. It is the Expediting Officer’s responsibility to know and understand the Customers’ priorities and his attention and efforts will be focused in order of priority. Liaises with local Sales, PSSO, PSSR, PM and ESB PSCO. What will be your responsibilities? Handle BIA’s relationship with its suppliers (ESB & local suppliers) on an operational level. Day-to-day operational follow-up of OEM orders & liaison with ESB Operations. Ensure on-time delivery of parts, components, and equipment to internal and external customers. Ensure the timely delivery of all Purchase Orders in accordance with the sales-agreed priority list. Continuously update ETA info & systems. Enter import cost tracking data. Ensure complete archiving (both paper and electronic versions). Manage purchasing aspects, including controlling and monitoring price/quantities. Select and evaluate local suppliers (NON-OEM local purchasing). Perform day-to-day customs activities (sommiers, bounded warehouse movements, customs clearance, Coordinate parts and equipment shipments to and from mining sites or other customer operations. Contribute to Supply Chain continuous improvement.
