Follow The debt recoveries officer is responsible for coordinating the debit recovery process by identifying and contacting default clients to minimize arrears which client relationship officers have failed to collect. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Strong interpersonal and listening skills • High level of integrity and professionalism • Ability to work under pressure and meet recovery targets • Strong understanding of credit risk and debt collection processes ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Monitor loan portfolios to identify accounts that are 30 days and above in arrears • Roll back delinquent accounts from 30 days past due to current (PAR 1) • Identify root causes of loan defaults and recommend corrective actions to the Supervisor • Develop and manage realistic repayment plans with defaulting clients • Conduct regular field visits to clients’ business and residential locations • Escalate difficult or uncooperative cases to Legal at the appropriate stage • Ensure strict adherence to FINCA policies and procedures Prepare and submit weekly recovery performance reports • Diploma or Degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any other related business field • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in debt collection and credit risk management within a Bank or Microfinance Institution • At least 2 years’ experience in a financial institution with exposure to lending, credit administration, or debt recover
