Follow The Assistant HR Officer will assist the Senior HR Officer with day-to-day operations of the HR department, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll processing, and maintaining employee records. Assist with preparing employment letters, schedule interviews, maintain HR systems, and direct workers to the correct HR contact when a question needs specialist input. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests. Maintain calendars of the HR management team. Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews. Support the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing induction materials and conducting orientation sessions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases. Assist in the administration of employee benefits and payroll processing. Handle employee inquiries and provide support on HR-related matters. Assist in organizing training and development programs. Support the performance appraisal process and maintain performance records. Assist in the implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures. Coordinate employee relations activities and events. Prepare HR reports and presentations as needed. Serve as point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators. Required Skills and Competencies Excellent organizational skills Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. Primary Areas of Accountability: Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Must have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience as an HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, or in a similar role. Work experience as an HR Assistant or Junior HR Officer in the construction industry will be a plus Knowledge of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS software. High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with labor laws and employment regulations.
