Follow One of our NGO clients has engaged Brilliance Executive Management Consultancy Limited (BEMCONSULT) to recruit targeting candidates from Zambia’s NGO sector with WASH project experience. The Advocacy & Capacity Strengthening Specialist will lead partnership building, represent the organization in advocacy engagements, and strengthen institutional capacities at district and sub-district levels. Summary of Key Responsibilities: Lead systems strengthening with local partners, particularly at the District Level Lead partnership engagements with Local Authorities and the Commercial Utility Lead advocacy engagements in collaboration with CSOs and other NGOs Support Local Authorities to develop IMS, Integrated District Plans and budgets Lead all capacity building activities in the project Lead formation and training of governance structures at district and sub-district levels (WASH Rights Groups) Required Skills and Competencies Ability to initiate new systems, procedures and processes Primary Areas of Accountability: Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Science preferably Social Work, Sociology or Development Studies Must have at least a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in advocacy programmes/initiatives, capacity and partnership building with an international NGO Must have proven exposure to local governance structures and systems Must have proven experience in advocacy and capacity strengthening in WASH projects
