Role Overview The Regional Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for several grocery stores within a designated region in Zambia. This role requires a seasoned retail professional with proven experience in managing large-scale operations, driving sales growth, and ensuring compliance with company standards. The successful candidate will oversee store performance, lead regional teams, and implement strategies that enhance profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Operational Leadership o Oversee daily operations across multiple stores in the region. o Ensure consistent implementation of company policies, procedures, and standards. o Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements. • Financial & Strategic Oversight o Manage regional budgets, cost control, and profitability targets. o Conduct regular sales analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support business growth. o Identify opportunities for revenue expansion and operational improvement. • Team Management & Development o Recruit, train, and mentor store managers and staff across the region. o Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. o Conduct performance reviews and implement development plans. • Customer Engagement & Service Excellence o Ensure exceptional customer service standards across all stores. o Implement customer feedback mechanisms to improve offerings and service delivery. o Drive initiatives to increase customer loyalty and repeat business. • Strategic Growth & Market Development o Monitor market trends and competitor activity to maintain competitiveness. o Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to design regional campaigns. o Support expansion initiatives and new store openings within the region. Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (mandatory). • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role. • Proven track record of managing multiple outlets or large teams. • Strong knowledge of retail operations, supply chain, and customer service standards. • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. • Ability to travel frequently within the region.
