ZAMBIA INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS STUDIES AND INDUSTRIAL PRACTICES The Zambia Institute of Business Studies and Industrial Practice (ZIBSIP) College in Kitwe is looking to hire an Assistant Internal Auditor. 1.0 Assistant Internal Auditor (Full-Time) Responsible for carrying out audit assignments at the college and highlighting variances in transaction recording and financial accounting for remedial action. Key Responsibilities Prepare and participate in the preparation or review of work plans, policies, work manuals, procedures, and reflected documents. Participating in determining whether departments in the college are performing their planning, accounting, custodial, or control activities in compliance with management policies, procedures, and in a manner consistent with the institution’s objective high standards of administrative practices. Participating in surveying functions and activities in assigned areas to determine the nature of operation, adequacy of the system, and efficiency of performance activities under review. Participate in the preparation of the internal audit annual budget proposal, including estimates of costs associated with the unit’s operations. To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications and Requirements: Grade 12 school certificate CA Application level, ACCA level II, CIMA level II At least three (3) years of work experience. Must be registered with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). Undertake the maintenance of an up-to-date financial management system to facilitate easy and quick retrieval and storage of financial data. Undertake timely preparation of reports and financial statements to facilitate decision-making and auditing. Maintains books of accounts accurately to ensure the timely provision of accounting information to end users. Reconcile deposit schedules with receipts and carry out bank reconciliations. In liaison with the Human Resource Department, update payroll for new employees and those existing. Undertake monthly inputs into the payroll for existing staff. Produce payroll deduction and reconciliation schedules, payment schedules, monthly salaries, and statutory deductions such as NAPSA, PAYE, etc. Prepare reconciled payroll year-end reports. Ensure that all payroll inputs are properly reconciled monthly and attend to all payroll queries. Accountable for the confidential maintenance and security of all staff payroll records and the system. To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications and Requirements: Grade 12 school certificate Degree in Accounting and Finance Experience with accounting software is an added advantage. At least three (3) years of work experience.
