ZAMBIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR TRUST (ZITFT) VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT POSITION: INTERNAL AUDITOR The Zambia International Trade Fair Trust (ZITFT), a leading institution mandated to promote trade, investment, and economic development through exhibitions and related activities, invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Internal Auditor. The successful candidate will be expected to provide independent and objective assurance services designed to add value and improve the Trust’s operations by evaluating the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and internal control systems. Key Responsibilities The Internal Auditor will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans. Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with professional standards. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements. Review the efficiency and effectiveness of organisational processes and systems. Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to Management and the Board Audit Committee. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Provide advisory services on governance, risk management, and internal control matters. Minimum Qualifications and Experience Applicants must possess the following qualifications and experience: Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, and/or ACCA or CA Zambia. Must be a fully paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA). Must possess a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) qualification (or an equivalent recognised internal auditing certification). A minimum of five (5) years’ practical experience in both External Audit and Internal Audit. Demonstrated knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks. Experience in auditing Government-Owned Enterprises or State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) will be an added advantage. Strong analytical, communication, and report writing skills. High levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Terms of Engagement This is an opportunity for an experienced professional who is available to commence duties immediately.
