CHOPPIES COPPERBELT / LUSAKA REGION JOB VACANCIES Job Role: Fruit and Veg Assistant Responsibilities To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service. Set up attractive displays to encourage customer purchases. Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labeled. Conduct daily counts of stock and report shortages. Dispose of spoiled produce responsibly and record wastage. Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying quality against supplier invoices. Help prepare special displays for seasonal fruits and vegetables. Provide information on storage, preparation, and nutritional value of produce. Follow workplace safety rules when handling crates, knives, or cleaning equipment. Maintain logs of stock rotation, cleaning schedules, and quality checks. Support colleagues in other departments when needed. Education / Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate or Diploma in Food, Hospitality, or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in fruit and vegetable production. Basic knowledge in fruit and vegetable preparation. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights. Candidate should be medically fit. Skills, Abilities, Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stay calm and focused. Inter-personal skills. Supervisory skills – ability to train employees to use time efficiently and to be uncompromising regarding service delivery.
