About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team in Chongwe District. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment. Diagnose electrical faults and perform effective troubleshooting. Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical systems. Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety regulations. Test electrical systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment. Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns as needed. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and installations. Collaborate with supervisors, contractors, and other team members to complete projects efficiently. Requirements Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Qualification in Electrical Installation or a related field. Valid electrician license/certification (where applicable). Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications Experience with industrial electrical systems and motor controls. Knowledge of solar, backup power, or generator systems.
