Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy & Planning [cite: 47] Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with goals[cite: 48]. Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning[cite: 49]. Advise executive leadership on resource allocation[cite: 50]. Manage relationships with banks, donors, and government agencies[cite: 66]. Supervise, develop, and foster accountability within the Finance Department staff[cite: 67, 68, 69]. Requirements: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration[cite: 73]. Professional certification (ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) is essential[cite: 74]. 3-5 years senior-level financial management experience, preferably in higher education[cite: 75, 76]. Strong knowledge of IFRS, public finance laws, and university funding models[cite: 77].
