EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AT Uspire Title: Business Development Manager Location: Plot 30458, Off Ring Road, Lusaka, Zambia Position Overview The Business Development Manager drives growth, revenue, and strategic partnerships across Uspire’s business units. The role ensures the alignment of sales and marketing efforts with the company’s long-term strategic objectives. Reporting Structure Reports to: Chief Executive Officer Supervises: Assistant Business Development Manager, B2B Executive, B2C Executive, and Business Support Executive (as relevant to BD activities) Key Responsibilities Lead business growth initiatives and identify new opportunities across service lines. Develop and execute sales, marketing, and client acquisition strategies. Build and maintain relationships with key clients and institutional partners. Supervise business development teams to achieve set targets and KPIs. Lead proposal development, bids, and presentations to clients. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy. Promote Uspire’s brand visibility through digital and offline channels. Coordinate with Finance, Consulting, and Publishing units for integrated service delivery. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred). At least 7 years’ experience in business development, consulting, or sales leadership. Member of the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM) Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue and client growth targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
