JOB ADVERTISEMENTIT SPECIALISTGood Time Steel Company Zambia Limited is a growing steel manufacturing company seeking to recruit a suitably qualified, experienced, and highly motivated IT Specialist to join our team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Managing and maintaining the Company's computer systems, networks, servers, and IT infrastructure.Providing technical support to staff and resolving hardware and software issues.Installing, configuring, and maintaining computers, printers, network equipment, and other IT devices.Managing network connectivity, internet services, user accounts, and access controls.Monitoring system performance and ensuring the security and reliability of IT systems.Implementing data backup, recovery, and cybersecurity measures.Managing and troubleshooting CCTV, access control systems, and other technology infrastructure where applicable.Supporting Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, email systems, and other business applications.Maintaining IT documentation, asset registers, and software licences.Assisting with the implementation and improvement of the Company's information systems.Training and assisting employees in the proper use of IT systems and applications.Liaising with external IT service providers and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and recommending appropriate solutions to improve business efficiency.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEApplicants should have:A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.At least 3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of computer networking, Windows systems, hardware, software, and IT security.Experience in network troubleshooting, system administration, and IT support.Knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and network security.Experience with data backup and recovery systems.Knowledge of CCTV and other electronic security systems will be an added advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Ability to work under pressure and respond to IT emergencies when required.KEY COMPETENCIESExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detailGood communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of integrity and confidentialityAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesProactive approach to identifying and resolving IT challengesHOW TO APPLYInterested and suitably qualified candidates should submit their application letter, detailed CV, copies of academic and professional certificates, and relevant supporting documents to:The Group Human Resource ManagerGood Time Steel Company Zambia LimitedLusaka, ZambiaEmail: yosefezulu@yahoo.comClosing Date: 4th, September, 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Good Time Steel Company Zambia Limited is an equal opportunity employer.
