JOB ADVERT: GENERAL MANAGERAUTOFOX JAPANESE TYRES – LUSAKAPosition: General Manager Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Tyre Trading / AutomotiveABOUT THE COMPANYAutofox Japanese Tyres is a growing tyre trading company based in Lusaka, specializing in the supply and distribution of quality Japanese tyres for passenger vehicles, trucks, buses and commercial vehicles.We are seeking a results-driven, commercially minded and experienced General Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership and support the company's growth and planned branch expansion.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe General Manager will be responsible for:Providing overall leadership and management of company operations.Developing strategies to increase sales, profitability and market share.Driving branch expansion and improving branch performance.Managing sales, marketing, procurement, stock and customer service.Setting and achieving sales and business performance targets.Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and business partners.Managing and developing staff to achieve company objectives.Ensuring effective stock control and minimizing losses.Developing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.Preparing budgets, forecasts and management reports.Controlling operating costs and improving profitability.Monitoring market trends, competitor activities and pricing.Ensuring compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, health and safety standards.Providing regular performance reports and strategic recommendations to management.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEApplicants must have:Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.3–5 years' proven experience in tyre trading, tyre sales, automotive sales or a related industry.Proven experience in sales and business development.Strong knowledge of the tyre/automotive market.Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.Strong commercial and financial management skills.Strong negotiation and customer relationship skills.Excellent communication, planning and organizational abilities.Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.A valid driver's licence is an added advantage.KEY ATTRIBUTESThe ideal candidate must be results-oriented, commercially aggressive, strategic, analytical, honest, disciplined, accountable and customer-focused, with the ability to work under pressure, motivate teams and identify new business opportunities.PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSThe successful candidate will be expected to:Increase sales, profitability and market share.Grow the customer base and develop new sales channels.Improve branch performance and operational efficiency.Strengthen corporate, fleet and retail customer relationships.Maintain effective stock management.Build a high-performing sales and operations team.Support Autofox's planned expansion into additional branches.HOW TO APPLYInterested and suitably qualified candidates should submit their CV and a brief cover letter clearly demonstrating their suitability for the position to: autofoxjapanese2020@gmail.com Application Deadline: 4th September 2026Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.AUTOFOX JAPANESE TYRES Lusaka, Zambia
