Lushomo Trust Grace Centre is currently looking for a qualified person to urgently fill the position of COMMUNICATION/ EDUCATION OFFICER.ORGANISATIONAL PROFILELushomo Trust Grace Centre is a community-based project located in Kazungula District along Mambova road. The Centre is a TEVETA-accredited institution offering free skills training programs and also supports vulnerable girls with education sponsorship in primary and secondary schools.QUALIFICATIONDiploma in Teaching (En glish/Literature).Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching serviceExperience as a Communication/ Education Officer will be an added advantage.Good command of English, both written and spokenStrong communication skills, both written and spokenPreferably, Teveta accreditedKEY RESPONSIBILITIESTo ensure effective communication with the Coordinator regarding educational programsTo identify and recruit new girls for sponsorship.Organizing tuitions, reviewing the girls’ books and teaching them in their weaker subjects.Attending to school Open Days and collecting the School reports.Attending PTA meetings.To compile termly academic performance results and forward to the coordinator.Coordinate the education programs for the sponsored girls in every school and to make sure they are attending school regularly.To monitor their school activities and to report challenges being faced by the girls to To monitor their school activities and to report challenges being faced by the girls to the Coordinator immediatelythe Coordinator immediatelyPeriodically visiting Guardians and making sure the homPeriodically visiting Guardians and making sure the home environment is conducive environment is conducive for the children’s education.for the children’s education.Maintaining all the documentation for the sponsored girls.
