Accountant

Key Responsibilities1. Financial AccountingOversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.Overseeing mapping & integration of complete general ledgers/chart of accounts for all modules within ERP systems to get accurate financial results.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local accounting regulations.Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.Ensure timely closing of monthly and annual books of accounts.2. Compliance & Credit ControlsEnsure compliance with tax laws, statutory filings (VAT, Income Tax, Excise/Customs, PAYE, etc.), and other regulatory requirements.Establish, monitor, and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.Coordinate with sales department on credit limits, balance confirmation and follow-ups on general credit.Overseeing internal controls within ERP systems for all new and existing customers to ensure all standard KYC documents are adhered to.3. Team Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementSupervise, train, and mentor accounting & stores staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales teams for integrated financial management.Present financial performance reports and variance analysis to senior management and recommend improvements.Key Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and expertise in ERP systems.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong ethical standards and integrity. Proactive in ensuring controls are adhered to
