Mongu Trades Training Institute, an institution under the Ministry of Technology and Science, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the positions of Lecturer in the following fields:Department: AcademicReports to: Head of DepartmentLocation: Mongu, Western ProvinceEmployment Type: ContractClosing Date: 12th August, 2026.Job PurposeTo plan, organize, and effectively utilize instructional materials to ensure the quality delivery of courses offered in line with approved curricula and TEVETA standards.Principal Accountabilities1. Student performanceCarry out tests in order to identify students’ performance levelsContribute to the institute’s continuous improvement cycle and committed to student developmentUse varied assessment and maximize student engagement and learning2. Training needs AssessmentsAssist in carrying out needs assessments for courses and help in the formation of curricular for identified courseAssess students’ performance through quizzes, assignments and testing, and provide one-on-one tutoring when necessary3. Academic ResearchGuide students in their research work4. Students welfareProvide guidance and counseling to studentsManage and facilitate safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practicesSet ambitious goals with students and monitor their progress while encouraging them through frequent and persisted feedback.5. Student DisciplineMaintain students’ discipline in classEnsure that all students are in compliance with the institutional rules and regulationsEnsuring students attend lectures regularly.6. LecturingManage the class and help in maintaining a health learning and classroom environmentCreating a physical and virtual classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of the students.Prepare lesson plans, schemes and other professional documents to ensure contents are in line with TEVETA standardsPrepare reports on students and activities as required by administration and TEVETA.Collaborate with other course unit lecturers to monitor weaknesses and strength of each student.7. Any Other DutiesCarry out any other duties as assigned by ManagementMinimum Qualifications and ExperienceBusiness DepartmentLecturer (3) Lecturer - Communication Skills ·        Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics.·        Bachelor of Arts with Education or equivalent with Majors in Communication, Linguistics)·        Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience.·        Teaching methodology for qualification without Education.·        Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage.·        TEVETA accreditationLecturer - Human Resource Management·        Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics.·        Degree in Human Resource Management, Public administration or equivalent·        Teaching Methodology qualification.·        Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience.·        TEVETA accreditationLecturer - Business Administration·        Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics.·        Degree in Business Administration or Equivalent·        Teaching Methodology qualification.·        Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience.·        TEVETA accreditationNote: All qualifications must be certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)Technical DepartmentLecturer - General Agriculture (2)Position one (1)·        Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics.·        Degree in Agriculture Science·        Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience.·        Teaching methodology·        TEVETA accreditationPosition two (2)·        Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) credits or better, including English and Mathematics.·        Diploma or Degree in Aquaculture or Equivalent·        Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience.·        Teaching methodology·        TEVETA accreditationNote: All qualifications must be certified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA)Other Skills and Attributes·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.·        Integrity, resourcefulness, and high levels of professionalism.·        Ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.·        Computer literacy.Age limit: Not more than 45 Years.Females are highly encouraged to applyApplication GuidelinesQualified and interested candidates should submit a Cover Letter, Curriculum Vitae (CV), academic and professional qualifications, NRC and any other relevant documents to: mttijobs@gmail.com the position applied for in the subject line of the email OrPhysically apply by dropping the application at the main campus (Mongu).The last day of receiving applications will be 12th August, 2026.The application should be addressed to:The PrincipalMongu Trades Training InstitutePO Box: 910167Mongu Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
