VACANCY: ACCOUNTANT – FUEL LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTCompany: Sahan Logistics LimitedLocation: Lusaka, ZambiaSahan Logistics Limited is seeking to recruit an experienced Accountant with proven experience in the fuel transportation and logistics industry.IMPORTANT:This position is strictly for candidates who have worked in fuel transport, petroleum logistics, fuel distribution, or tanker fleet operations. Applicants without relevant industry experience will not be considered.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years' accounting experience in a fuel transport or petroleum logistics company.Strong understanding of:Fuel transportation accountingFleet costing and trip profitabilityTransport reconciliationsFuel stock and delivery reconciliationsCustomer invoicing and supplier paymentsERB transport rates and fuel logistics operationsMulti-currency accounting (ZMW & USD)Bank reconciliationsVAT and tax compliancePayroll and statutory returnsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all accounting and financial records.Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.Monitor fleet income, expenses, and profitability.Perform trip-by-trip financial reconciliations.Reconcile customer invoices and supplier accounts.Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.Prepare budgets, cash flow reports, and financial forecasts.Ensure compliance with all tax and statutory obligations.Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.Required Application DocumentsApplicants must submit:Cover LetterDetailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)Certified Academic QualificationsCertified Professional Certificates (if applicable)Valid NRC or PassportMinimum of three traceable referencesCopies of previous employment letters or contracts demonstrating experience in fuel transport or petroleum logisticsApplications from candidates without proven fuel transport or petroleum logistics accounting experience will not be considered.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
