ESG & Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Officer

Location: [Kitwe] Contract Type: PermanentAre you passionate about sustainability, industrial compliance, and measurable impact?We are seeking a highly competent ESG & MEL Specialist to support the implementation of an EU-funded manufacturing and engineering project focused on industrial upgrading, machinery installation, skills development, and job creation.This is a unique opportunity to lead sustainability compliance and results measurement in a growing engineering and manufacturing environment. About the RoleThe ESG & MEL Specialist will ensure that our workshop operations and project activities comply with EU environmental, social, and governance standards and reporting requirements, while tracking measurable production and development outcomes.This role bridges industrial operations, compliance, sustainability, and donor reporting. Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor environmental compliance (waste, emissions, energy use, chemical handling)Ensure workshop safety compliance (PPE, LOTO, machine guarding)Track gender and youth employment targetsMaintain EU Logframe indicator tracking systemsPrepare quarterly and annual donor narrative reportsSupport EU audit and Results-Oriented Monitoring (ROM) missionsMaintain risk registers and sustainability plansVerify production outputs linked to EU-funded machinery What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Management, Project Management, or related field 2–6 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, ESG compliance, or M&E Strong understanding of industrial safety & environmental standards Experience with Logframe / Results-Based Management (RBM) Strong Excel and data reporting skills High integrity and attention to detailExperience with EU-funded projects is a strong advantage. Why Join Us?Work in a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing environmentLead sustainability and compliance in real industrial operationsContribute to job creation and skills developmentEngage directly with international donor standardsBe part of a results-driven, impact-focused team How to Apply:Send your CV and cover letter to: hiringcbs2026@gmail.com Application Deadline: [25th February 2026]
