Technical Consultant

The Technical Consultant is responsible for providing technical expertise, implementing technology solutions, and supporting clients throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves understanding business requirements, designing technical solutions, configuring systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring successful implementation of software, hardware, or IT solutions. The Technical Consultant works closely with clients, project teams, developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze client business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Design, configure, implement, and customize software or technology solutions.Provide technical advice and recommendations to clients and internal teams.Conduct system installations, integrations, upgrades, and migrations.Perform technical testing and ensure solutions meet quality standards.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during implementation and post-deployment.Prepare technical documentation, system specifications, and user guides.Deliver client training and knowledge transfer sessions.Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and project managers throughout project execution.Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.Provide post-implementation support and maintenance.Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.Ensure compliance with security, governance, and organizational standards.Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and technical estimation.Education ProfileA Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or Project Management will be an added advantage.Professional certifications relevant to the organization's technology stack are highly desirable, such as:Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) / Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions ArchitectAWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps AdministratorCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)ITIL Foundation or ITIL Managing ProfessionalVMware Certified Professional (VCP)Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Linux+Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, or other vendor-specific certifications, where applicable.ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of progressive experience in technical consulting, IT solutions implementation, systems integration, enterprise applications, infrastructure management, or digital transformation projects.Proven experience leading the implementation, customization, and deployment of enterprise technology solutions across multiple client environments.Demonstrated experience gathering business requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions.Hands-on experience integrating enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and cloud-based technologies.Experience working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).Strong background in database management, system administration, networking, cybersecurity, or software development, depending on the technical domain.Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, timelines, and client satisfaction.Experience conducting technical workshops, end-user training, and knowledge transfer sessions.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective, long-term solutions.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including project managers, software developers, business analysts, infrastructure engineers, and senior stakeholders.Experience working within Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.Exposure to IT governance, risk management, compliance, and information security best practices is an added advantage.Previous consulting experience within sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, healthcare, government, logistics, or professional services will be an added advantage.
