Barista

We are seeking an energetic, customer-focused, and passionate Barista to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality beverages, delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and welcoming café environment, and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the Grind.Responsibilities:Welcome customers warmly and provide a friendly, professional experience.Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.Offer product recommendations and answer customer questions about menu items.Handle customer requests, concerns, and feedback professionally.Build positive relationships with customers and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.Prepare and serve coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.Ensure consistency, presentation, and quality of all beverages served.Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.Maintain proper food safety and hygiene standards during beverage preparation.Assist with the preparation of light food items when required.Maintain the cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, dining areas, and service counters.Restock supplies and ensure products are displayed appropriately.Assist with opening and closing procedures.Monitor equipment functionality and promptly report maintenance needs.Support stock counts and inventory management activities.Requirements:Certificate or training in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Services, Catering, Tourism, or a related field is an advantage.Previous experience as a Barista, Cashier, Waiter/Waitress, or in a customer service role is an advantage.Experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is preferred.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Strong communication abilities.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Applications can be submitted via the attached link or to nalishebo@zimworx.com Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
