This programme equips trainees with practical, industry-relevant skills in the maintenance and servicing of advanced mining equipment.We are looking for experienced engineers who are passionate about developing others, sharing knowledge, and shaping future technical talent in Zambia’s growing industrial sector.Employment Type: Fixed Term ContractClosing Date: Thursday, 25th June 2026.Location: Chongwe District, Lusaka Province.Reporting To: Head Of SchoolIndustry: Mining & EducationAbout The RoleTo deliver practical and theoretical training in mobile industrial high-voltagesystems, instrumentation, controls, automation, diagnostics and safe HVoperations to trainees.Key Responsibilities• Develop lesson plans covering internal combustion diesel enginetechnology, advanced hydraulic systems, drivetrain systems, telematicsand diagnostics, as well as preventive and predictive maintenanceprinciples• Deliver classroom and workshop-based training on high-voltage (HV)safety, isolation, switching, and commissioning procedures• Provide training on instrumentation, sensors, CANBUS, control systems,and diagnostic methodologies• Supervise practical HV exercises and fault-finding activities.• Conduct assessments and maintain compliance documentation.• Support development of laboratories and simulators.• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance.• Guide trainees in electrical and electronic diagnostics• Demonstrate use of diagnostic software and measurement equipment• Supervise troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.• Tech diagnostics and telematics principles and applications in OEMsettings• Maintain training records and support curriculum reviews andimprovement• Coordinate closely with workplace mentors to support on-the-job learning.• Review and validate apprentice logbooks and workplace evidence.• Participate in apprentice progress and review meetings.• Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.• Maintain accurate assessment and training records.• Participate in moderation processes, audits, and accreditation reviews.• Coach and develop apprentices and trainees.• Supervise workshop-based practical training.• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.• Assess competence against defined standards.About The Work Environment• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 hours to 16:00 hours, excluding public holidays• Training workshops & Laboratories• Occasional outdoor or Industrial partner facilities• Exposure to heavy equipment and outdoor field work.• Standing and supervising trainees for extended periodsEducational Qualifications• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics• Diploma - Teaching MethodologyCompetencies• Deep knowledge of heavy-duty equipment systems• Instructional & Facilitation Skills• Coaching & Mentorship• Assessment & Competency EvaluationDigital Competencies• Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)• Virtual training platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom)• Learning Management Systems (LMS) proficiencyAdvantageous Certifications• TEVETA Instructor Accreditation• Train-the-Trainer Certification• Occupational Health & Safety Certification• Assessor CertificationExperience• Minimum 5 - 8 years OEM or Mining Maintenance relevant industryexperience.• Minimum 2 years instructional experienceWhat We Offer• Competitive remuneration• Professional development opportunities• Exposure to large-scale industrial operations• Supportive learning culture
