Job Description
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion control, and presentation standardsDevelop new recipes and seasonal menu items based on trends, cost, and customer feedbackEnsure consistent taste, quality, and plating for every dishAdjust recipes for special dietary needs: allergies, vegan, gluten-free, etc.Oversee daily kitchen operations: prep, service, and clean-downMaintain equipment and report maintenance issuesHealth, Safety & Compliance Enforce strict food hygiene and safety standardsEnsure proper food storage, labeling, and rotationKeep kitchen clean and organized at all timesFollow all workplace safety procedures to prevent accidentsWork with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth serviceHandle customer feedback or complaints about food professionallyMaintain speed during busy service without sacrificing qualityProven experience as a Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or catering settingStrong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and proceduresUnderstanding of food safety regulations and sanitationAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentLeadership and team management skillsSend your CV to nomsa.moyo@hatabgroup.com
