Job Description
JOB PURPOSEWe are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Key Account Manager to join our growing team. The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service and Product Development departments) to improve the entire customer experience, answer client queries and identify new business opportunitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develops new business by analyzing account potential, initiating, developing, and closing sales, recommending new applications and sales strategies.Identifies potential in accounts by studying current business, interviewing key customer personnel and company personnel who have worked with customers; identifying and evaluating additional needs; analyzing opportunities Initiates sales process by building relationships, qualifying potential and scheduling appointments. Develops sales by making initial presentations, explaining product and service enhancements and additions and introducing new products and services Develops new applications by preparing specifications; conferring with product engineering.Closes sales by overcoming objections and preparing contracts Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results, identifying needs to be filled, monitoring competitive products, analyzing and relaying customer reactions Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferredIndustry experience a plus 3+ years sales experience exceeding quotas Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-levelSolid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel) Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needsInterested candidates who meet the above requirements are invited to submit their application letter, detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and certified copies of relevant qualifications to careers@bgsgroup.co.zm.
