Thorntree River Lodge, a safari destination nestled on the river banks of mighty Zambezi river in the Mosi-Oa Tunya National Park, is seeking an experienced and passionate individual to come on board and join our dynamic team in the capacity of Kitchen Hand. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in one of Africa’s most pristine and remote wilderness areas, delivering unforgettable experiences to our local international guests.Position : Kitchen HandReporting to : Head ChefKey Responsibilities:Ensure that all utensils, cutlery and crockery are cleaned accordingly and are ready when they are needed.Clean ovens, deep fat fryers, mixers, fridges and freezers.Ensuring the Kitchen floors are always clean and free of water/ fluids.Taking out garbage and ensuring the bins are clean.Conducting deep cleaning and disinfection as per the schedule.Follow the daily cleaning checklist as per kitchen standard.Proper storage and handling of chemicals Perform daily duties as instructed by the ChefAdhering to safety and hygiene policies and proceduresPractise the clean as you go procedurePerform any other duties as assigned by the SupervisorRequirements:Full grade 12 certificateMinimum of 1–2 years relevant work experienceBasic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.Eligible and qualified employees must submit their CV’s and a cover letter clearly indicating the advertised position in the email title to hrzambia@africanbushcamps.com. The deadline is 11th June, 2026.
