Job Description

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate the plant efficiently and effectively to minimize production losses and maximize production yield.Consult the Shift Leader or Production Manager before making any adjustments to process settings or operating parameters.Continuously monitor process equipment and operating parameters to ensure optimal performance and product quality.Maintain awareness of the designated feed silo for each shift and ensure proper material handling procedures are followed.Take accurate tank and vessel dip measurements as required and record findings accordingly.Monitor and control the feed temperature of seeds from the Vertical Seed Conditioner (VSC) to the flakers to ensure compliance with operational standards.Conduct routine inspections of all operational equipment at intervals not exceeding two hours and promptly report any abnormalities.Complete production log sheets accurately and in a timely manner as per established reporting schedules.Continuously develop operational knowledge and skills to contribute to production efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by adhering to all safety procedures and actively participating in safety improvement initiatives.Strictly comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.Participate actively in process optimization and continuous improvement activities to enhance plant performance and reliability.Ensure equipment operates within prescribed parameters to achieve quality targets and maintain production costs within acceptable limits.Carry out routine equipment maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure machinery remains in good working condition.Maintain high standards of plant hygiene and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements at all times.Report operational issues, equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, and quality concerns promptly to the Shift Leader or relevant supervisor.Perform any other duties assigned by Management that are consistent with the role and operational requirements of the Company.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSEducationDiploma/Certificate in Engineering or related field (advantageous).Graduate in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage for technical understanding.Skills and CompetenciesKnowledge of plant operations, production processes, and equipment operation.Ability to monitor process parameters, troubleshoot operational issues, and optimize production efficiency.Understanding of preventive maintenance, GMP, quality standards, and safety procedures.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.Ability to accurately complete production records and reports.Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.High levels of integrity, accountability, reliability, and professionalism.
