Job Description – LandscaperLelesha LodgePosition TitleLandscaperLocationLelesha LodgeReports ToLodge Manager / Maintenance SupervisorPosition SummaryLelesha Lodge is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and detail-oriented Landscaper to maintain and improve the appearance of the lodge grounds and outdoor areas. The Landscaper will be responsible for gardening, lawn care, plant maintenance, irrigation, and ensuring the outdoor environment remains clean, attractive, and welcoming for guests.The ideal candidate should have a passion for landscaping and environmental care, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key ResponsibilitiesGrounds MaintenanceMaintain lawns, gardens, pathways, and outdoor spaces to high standards.Mow grass, trim hedges, prune trees, and remove weeds regularly.Water plants, flowers, and lawns using appropriate irrigation methods.Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and decorative plants.Remove litter and keep outdoor areas clean and presentable.Landscaping & ImprovementAssist in landscaping projects and beautification of lodge surroundings.Prepare soil and planting areas for new vegetation.Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments safely when required.Monitor plant health and report any pest or disease issues.Equipment & SafetyOperate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment properly.Ensure safe storage and handling of gardening materials and chemicals.Follow health and safety procedures while performing duties.Report damaged equipment or maintenance concerns promptly.Teamwork & Guest ExperienceWork closely with lodge staff to maintain a pleasant environment.Respond to outdoor maintenance requests efficiently.Contribute to creating a clean, relaxing, and attractive atmosphere for guests.Maintain professionalism and positive communication with guests and staff.Qualifications & RequirementsCertificate or training in Landscaping, Horticulture, or related field preferred.Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or grounds maintenance is an advantage.Knowledge of plants, lawn care, and landscaping techniques.Ability to use landscaping tools and equipment safely.Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Ability to work flexible hours when required.Good teamwork and communication skills.Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.Key SkillsGardening and landscapingLawn and plant maintenanceEquipment handlingTime managementAttention to detailProblem-solving skillsTeamwork and communicationPhysical staminaWorking ConditionsOutdoor lodge environment.Requires physical labor, standing, lifting, and bending.Exposure to different weather conditions.May involve weekend or holiday work when necessary.Performance ExpectationsWell-maintained and attractive lodge grounds.Healthy plants, lawns, and gardens.Clean and safe outdoor environment.Proper care and maintenance of landscaping equipment.Professional conduct and teamwork.Application ProcessInterested candidates should submit their CV and relevant qualifications to Lelesha Lodge management.Lelesha Lodge is dedicated to creating beautiful and welcoming hospitality experiences and values hardworking team members who take pride in maintaining exceptional outdoor spaces.
