Assistant Accountant Position – Mungwi Park Gardens Events and LodgesJob SummaryWe are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant (preferably a lady) to join our team at Mungwi Park Gardens Events and Lodges in Lusaka West. The ideal candidate will support the finance function with a focus on daily operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Key RequirementsDiploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional qualification or active progress toward Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) – CA Zambia, Licentiate, or Technician level (added advantage).1–2 years of practical accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, retail, or service industry.Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Pastel, QuickBooks, or similar).Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Good understanding of Zambian tax laws and compliance (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, VAT) – added advantage.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, formulas, reconciliations, and reporting).High level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when required in the hospitality sector.Must be based in Lusaka or willing to work in Lusaka West.Main DutiesDaily sales reconciliationSupport stock control and inventory accountingPetty cash managementProcessing supplier payments and managing accounts payableAssisting with payroll, bank reconciliations, and other accounting tasks as assignedHow to ApplyIf you meet the above requirements and are interested in this role, please send your CV and cover letter to bright.shumba@mungwiparkgardens.com the subject line:Assistant Accountant Application – [Your Full Name]Deadline: 25/05/26.
