STORES CLERK – BEM MOTORS (3 POSITIONS)Salary Expectation K 5521.84 MaximumLocation: Lusaka X3Reporting To: Regional AccountantJob PurposeBEM Motors invites applications from suitably qualified and detail-oriented individuals for the position of Stores Clerk. The Stores Clerk will be responsible for undertaking the storage, handling, and distribution of goods to ensure availability of stock to end users. The role requires maintaining proper stock controls, accurate records management, and ensuring the stores environment remains clean and organised.Key Responsibilities· Undertake periodic stock controls to monitor stock levels, adhere to shelf-life requirements, and prevent overstocking.· Receive, record, store, and issue goods in accordance with company procedures. · Maintain accurate and up-to-date stores and requisition records. · Consolidate requisition records timely and accurately to facilitate efficient storage of information. · Identify goods for disposal in a timely manner in order to create space and remove expired or obsolete stock. · Ensure proper arrangement, cleanliness, and organisation of the stores at all times. · Assist in preparing unit work plans and reports as required. · Participate in stock taking exercises and inventory audits. · Ensure safe custody of all stock items and stores documentation. · Work closely with user departments to ensure efficient distribution of goods. · Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor. Qualifications and Skills· Full Grade 12 School Certificate. · Certificate in Purchasing and Supply, Business Management, or related field will be an added advantage. · Registered Member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS). · Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in stores or inventory management. · Good communication and interpersonal skills. · Good analytical and organisational skills. · High level of attention to detail and accuracy. · Ability to work with minimal supervision. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
