Safety Officer

1.     Safety Manager (Kitwe– 1 Position) Salary Expectation K11,500 maximum 2.     Safety Officer (Lusaka – 2 Positions) Salary Expectation K6,600 maximum Reporting To: Senior Safety ManagerJob PurposeTo ensure that health and safety protocols are adhered to at all times and that staff members are adequately informed on workplace safety procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.Identify safety risks and recommend corrective actions, including follow-up assessments.Assist in planning, implementing, and conducting preventive care, safety, and compliance training programs.Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies, procedures, and good engineering practices.Monitor new developments in occupational health and safety laws and ensure company compliance.Inspect machinery and workplace equipment to identify unsafe conditions and recommend improvements.Work closely with the company medical services unit to organize emergency support for injured or sick employees.Conduct safety toolbox talks and presentations to educate staff on health and safety matters.Investigate workplace accidents and prepare reports with recommendations for improved safety measures.Develop section work plans and monitor performance within the safety function.Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.Qualifications and Skills3-5 years’ work experience as a safety officer.Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health or any related field of study or equivalent experience from recognized institution.Practicing certificate as a health and safety officer..Computer literacy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organisational and coordination abilities.Attention to detail.Good leadership skills. How to ApplyInterested candidates should submit their:Application letterCurriculum Vitae (CV)Copies of relevant qualificationsTo: bemhrlsk1@gmail.com  CC: bem.hr.recruitment@gmail.com and hrpowertools42@gmail.comClosing Date: 26 April, 2026
