Junior Accountant

Our core values are the truth, technical excellence, true partnership and work we can be proud of.Role Purpose:• To ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with applicable accounting standards• To provide timely and reliable financial information for decision making• To support transparency and accountability in financial operations• To safeguard client assets through proper documentation and controls• Ensure compliance with insolvency laws and regulatory frameworks where applicable• Assist in the orderly resolution of financial distress through restructuring or liquidationCore Responsibilities:• Bookkeeping and transaction processing• Communication with various stakeholders• Recommend financial and process improvement• Follow ups and timely collection of receivables• Managing invoices, payments and collections• Payroll processing• Budgeting and forecasting support• Advising clients on insolvency options• Assessment of client financial position  Minimum RequirementsDegree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldProfessional qualification (e.g., ZICA, ACCA - Part qualified or pursuing)1 - 2 years relevant experience (or strong internship background)Key SkillsStrong attention to detailProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)Good communication and analytical skillsAble to work under minimal supervisionIf you are interested and believe you meet the conditions of this role, please send your CV and Cover Letter to mimakando@mcazambia.com
