Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Safeguards Officer to ensure that all company projects and operations comply with environmental regulations and sustainability standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in minimizing environmental impact and promoting responsible resource management.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standardsConduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and environmental auditsDevelop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs)Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to environmental safeguardsIdentify potential environmental risks and recommend mitigation measuresPrepare environmental reports and documentation for regulatory authoritiesPromote environmental awareness and sustainability practices within the organizationLiaise with government agencies, stakeholders, and communities on environmental mattersMonitor waste management, pollution control, and resource utilizationEnsure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materialsMinimum RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Natural Sciences, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years relevant experienceStrong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standardsExperience in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and auditsGood report writing and data analysis skillsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skillsKey CompetenciesEnvironmental risk assessmentAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailProject monitoring and evaluationStrong organizational skills How to ApplyInterested candidates should send their CV and cover letter to:jobs@mctechz.comKindly note that we are looking for someone with a minimum of a degree in the described positionNote: You are required to merge the documents into one fileDeadline: 29/04/2026 3:00 PM
