Job Description
Job Summary:The Land Surveyor is responsible for measuring and mapping land boundaries, features, and contours to support construction, engineering, and land development projects. They will have to use specialized equipment and software to collect accurate data and ensure legal property boundaries are correctly defined.Key Responsibilities:Conduct land and topographic surveys to determine property boundaries and land featuresUse surveying equipment such as GPS, total stations, and levelsPrepare survey reports, maps, plats, and legal descriptionsAnalyse data using CAD software to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulationsCollaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teamsSet out construction works (buildings, roads, infrastructure) according to design plansMaintain records of survey data and field notesEnsure all work complies with local laws and safety standardsRequired Qualifications:Proficiency in surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS tools)Strong mathematical and analytical skillsAbility to operate modern surveying instrumentsGood communication and teamwork skillsExperience:Mid-level: 3–5 years in field and office surveyingNeeds to be available to start work urgently and must be a resident of Lusaka.
