Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Human Resource Officer to support operations at our manufacturing plant in Lusaka. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing employee relations, supporting shop floor workforce needs, and ensuring smooth coordination between HR and plant operations to maintain a productive and compliant work environment.Key Responsibilities:Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and proceduresManage and resolve employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflicts in a fair and timely mannerSupport the implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standardsConduct investigations and prepare reports on employee relations issuesPromote a positive work culture through employee engagement initiativesAssist in performance management processes and employee development programsMaintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality at all timesAdvise management on best HR practices and risk mitigation strategiesQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 3–5 years experience in HR, with a focus on employee relationsStrong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practicesExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsStrong communication and report-writing abilitiesHigh level of integrity and professionalismMust be below the age of 30.Must be registered with ZIHRMKey Competencies:Problem-solving and decision-making skillsEmotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive mattersAttention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
