Laboratory Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Laboratory Assistantto support laboratory operations at our new concrete plant in Lusaka. The successful candidate will assist in sampling, testing, and preparing materials to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in collecting and preparing raw material samples for testingSupport laboratory technicians in conducting tests on concrete and related materialsPrepare test blocks and assist in curing and monitoring processesMaintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratoryRecord test data accurately and report findings to supervisorsEnsure proper handling and storage of materials and equipmentFollow health and safety procedures at all timesQualifications & RequirementsMinimum Grade 12 Certificate, preferably with Science subjectsDegree or Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Civil Engineering.Proven experience in Cement plant operationsPrior experience in a laboratory or construction environment is desirableBasic knowledge of concrete or material testing is an advantageSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detailGood communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and follow instructionsGood record-keeping abilityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment
