Roller Operator (3)

Role Purpose We are looking for a responsible and experienced Roller Operator to operate and maintain compaction equipment safely and efficiently at our construction sites. The Ideal candidates will ensure proper surface compaction, adhere to health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards and support the safe construction and maintenance of fuel stations. Key Responsibilities Operate and control a roller to compact soil and other materials. Ensure that the roller is properly maintained and in good working order. Monitor the compaction process for quality assurance. Ensure the job site is clean and free of excess material. Adjust equipment settings and compaction techniques based on surface conditions. Collaborate with other construction team members to coordinate operations. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on the roller. Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Maintain accurate records of activities and progress. Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other crew members. [wp_code title="Fluid Ad"] Qualifications and Experience Full Grade 12 Certificate Class CE Driver’s License Valid Heavy Equipment Operator’s Permit or relevant certification. Minimum three years proven experience operating a roller compactor. Knowledge of construction materials, construction processes and industry requirements. Good understanding of occupational health and safety requirements. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with supervisors and other employees. Ability to work in outdoor, industrial and construction-related environments. Must be physically fit, responsible and safety-conscious. Must be mature, sober and alert while operating machinery.
