Head Coach

POSITION HEAD COACH – ZESCO UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB JOB PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION To lead and manage the football team by delivering high-quality coaching, tactical direction, and player development in order to achieve competitive success. The Head Coach will ensure the team performs at the highest level while upholding Club values and complying with FAZ, ZPL, and CAF regulations. QUALIFICATIONS Full Grade 12 Certificate. Valid CAF coaching license (CAF A or CAF Pro License preferred). Diploma or Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field (advantage). Strong knowledge of football tactics and performance analysis. Basic IT skills and use of coaching analysis tools. [wp_code title="Fluid Ad"] EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS 5 – 10 years coaching experience, including 3 – 5 years at professional level. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead planning and delivery of all training sessions. Develop match strategies, tactics, and game plans. Select team squads and starting line-ups based on performance and fitness. Analyse team and opponent performance using modern tools. Oversee player development, discipline, and mentoring. Work with medical and fitness staff on player health and recovery. Identify and recommend players for recruitment. Ensure compliance with FAZ, ZPL, and CAF regulations. Promote professionalism, discipline, and team culture. Report on team performance to Club Management. Represent the Club in media and official engagements.  TENURE Two (2) years contract  START DATE 24 June 2026  DEADLINE 27 June 2026
