POSITION DATA ANALYST JOB PURPOSE / DESCRIPTION Work involves the conduct of data analytics and providing consulting services to the Audit & Risk management and staff for all business units in Audit & Risk Directorate and assisting with the development of annual data analytics plans; all with emphasis on a risk-based approach designed to assist management in the attainment of their objectives. QUALIFICATIONS Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification in ICT or business-related field. A Certificate in Data Analytics will be an added advantage EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS This job requires the job holder to have a minimum of 2 years proven and relevant experience. [wp_code title="Fluid Ad"] JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Compiles reports for the Entry Conferences and Exit Conferences of each assignment. Assists with the development of the assignment objectives, plans, and scope consistent with the Internal Audit Charter, the assessment of assignment risk, and the assignment needs/priorities. Assists with the preparation of detailed assignment programs tailored to each assignment to ensure that no specific tests or activities necessary for the assignment are overlooked and to assist in preventing ineffective script writing and data analysis techniques from being performed. Executes assigned data analysis projects, including identifying and defining issues, developing scripts, reviewing and analyzing data, and documenting client processes and procedures. Conducts interviews, reviews documents, develops and administers surveys, composing summary memos, and preparing working papers. Identifies, develops, and documents issues and recommendations for further investigations. Prepares and presents written reports in a pertinent, concise, and accurate manner for distribution to management. Maintain appropriate working relationships with location personnel and staff. Pursues professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with staff.
